My practice investigates the tension between an indifferent exterior and emotional presence. I create objects that concentrate pigment as a material form of emotion, where pigment becomes movement temporarily fixed in matter. Their velvety surfaces emphasize vulnerability and risk, reflecting emotional exposure not as weakness but as a deliberate strategy. Rather than resolving instability, I work within conditions of uncertainty, creating orientational anchors that offer a sense of safety amid unpredictability. Safety emerges not from durability, but from the intensity of presence.
